Mohammad Aslam has served HBL, the largest private bank of Pakistan, for more than 40 years, working on 3 continents. He had several senior postings in the UK, led the Bank’s European operations, served as CEO of the bank’s 100% owned subsidiary in Australia, Habib Finance Australia Limited, and as Regional General Manager of HBL Asia Pacific from Sydney. As Country Head China, he launched HBL in China. He had negotiated several arrangements with Chinese banks and companies for establishing existing friendly relations between the two nations. Mr. Aslam had led the HBL’s Islamic Banking operations from its Head Office in Karachi and transformed one branch operation into one of the largest Islamic Banking networks within a span of two years. He is now stationed in London as an Executive Member representing ESAAC for the region.
