Takaful Consultant
Kashif Siddique is an Insurance and Takaful professional. He has diversified experience of over 9 years with regulators in Pakistan and Oman. He held the position of Joint Director in the Enforcement Department of Corporate Law Division and subsequently Insurance Division in the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. He played a key role in developing and preparing the Takaful Rules 2012. Apart from this, his tasks were supervising the insurance and takaful industry of Pakistan according to the Companies Ordinance, 1984, Insurance Ordinance, 2000, Takaful Rules, 2012, and International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards (IASs & IFRSs). He has provided advice to the Insurance Regulator of Oman. He has prepared the new regulatory guidelines and overhauled the current laws and regulations of the Insurance and Takaful Sector. He has also standardized the Supervisory Methodology based on the Risk-Based Supervision Approach.
Kashif is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He is a Fellow member of the Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA). He has a Post Graduate Diploma-PGD in Islamic Banking, Finance & Takaful. He is a Certified Shariah Compliance Auditor (CSCA) as well.
