We are pleased to share our active participation in the Bangladesh Islamic Finance Summit 2025, where our CEO, Ehsan Waquar Ahmad, represented the firm and contributed to several key discussions shaping the future of Islamic finance in the region.

During the summit, Mr. Ahmad engaged with Heads of Islamic Banks, NBFCs and distinguished University Professors including Bangladesh Bank United Commercial Bank PLC, Mutual Trust Bank PLC, Eastern Bank PLC., citybankbd, IFIC BANK PLC, NCC Bank PLC, IDLC Finance PLC, Center for Zakat Management (CZM), University of Dhaka, Millennium Information Solution Ltd. exchanging insights on strengthening Shariah-compliant financial practices and addressing industry-wide challenges and opportunities.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of an MoU with IFA Consultancy (IFAC), marking a strategic collaboration to work together in areas of mutual interest. This partnership aims to support institutional development, enhance Shariah governance practices, and jointly develop capacity-building initiatives for the Islamic finance ecosystem.

He also participated in a panel discussion on enhancing sector-wide capabilities—particularly the importance of building the capacity of Shariah scholars in conventional finance practices and elevating the Shariah proficiency of practitioners. The conversation underscored the need for stronger collaboration between Shariah boards and operational teams to ensure robust and practical Shariah governance.

In addition, Mr. Ahmad conducted a capacity building workshop on Treasury and Trade Finance products and services, where he shared practical expertise and global best practices with industry professionals committed to advancing their technical understanding.
